About the Course

Calculus is generally defined as the mathematical study of continuous change. In this class, we will be exploring exactly what this means. We will start by reviewing and studying up on concepts from pre-calculus, including algebra and trigonometry.
The structure of the class shall run like so:
-The course textbook (TBD) will serve as the primary tool for your instruction in the course. Most of what we will be studying in this course will originate from there.
-Lecture times will generally serve as supplemental learning opportunities; this could take the form of deeper study for future reference, studying examples to give greater ease of access to more difficult concepts, reviewing deadlines for homeworks and tests, etc.
Further details will be given once a suitable curriculum is found.
If the class time does not work with your schedule, please reach out. A different time can likely be arranged.
Preferred payment method: check.

About Bailey

My name is Bailey Robinson. I will be teaching Geometry and Calculus I as well as holding a Math Lab for tutoring purposes. I was born in New Orleans but have lived in Southern Indiana for most of my life. I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and work at the University of Louisville as a math tutor. Furthermore, I am the oldest of 4 children and as such, I have had ample opportunity to assist all of them in many levels of mathematics. Between my siblings, my work, and other smaller tutoring practices, I have immense knowledge on math as a whole, from basic arithmetic to Calculus II.
I am quite excited to try my hand at teaching math on a higher level, especially with my passion for math as a whole. I dearly hope to encourage students to not just appreciate math, but to appreciate critical thinking in general; optimally, I would love to extend this encouragement to parents as well. Though difficult it may sometimes be to grasp, I believe math to be a great example of both God's logical capabilities and the order built into His creation.
