About the Course
Cornerstone Advanced Chamber Choir- Audition only
The Cornerstone Chamber Choir is a small, audition only ensemble. All students interested in auditioning need to be comfortable reading single lines of music or have a strong ear and be able to sing a more complex harmony part alone in a small group.
This group sings a variety of musical genres, from the Renaissance to modern, both accompanied and acapella. We work on vocal nuances such as tone and musicality, as well as 3-4 + part singing.
Auditions consist of singing any song you choose acapella, sight-reading a simple piece of music, aural memory, and a range check.
Cost includes a $40 music and supply fee. Any student in Chamber Choir who would also like to sing in Intermediate only needs to pay a $35 music fee for Intermediate.

Hi! I'm Debbie Griffin and I love all things music! I graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in K-12 Music Education with a focus on general music, choral music, and piano pedagogy. I also did post-graduate studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I met my husband Rick, who is a pastor. I've taught music in various capacities over the years, including piano, voice, general music and choirs in public and private schools, and I've directed both school and church productions. I really enjoy accompanying and assisting with worship. I'm a 25-year veteran homeschool mom of five children, all of whom have graduated, so I cheer on all of you homeschool moms!
