About the Course
Piano Lessons

The private lesson schedule follows the upper school calendar for a total of 34 weeks. This is what I would prefer, however, I am happy to work with you if you can only do the Elementary schedule!

Cost is $15 per lesson. You can pay by lesson, by month, or by semester - whatever you prefer.

For piano books, I use the Faber Piano Adventures series, which goes from the Primer (beginner) to Level 5 (intermediate). According to the student's interests, I may also supplement other books and pieces.

Contact me by phone or email to set up a time slot, and let me know if you have any questions!

About Heidi
Heidi

Hi! I'm Heidi Pym, and I am an ardent music lover! I started playing piano, my primary instrument, at the age of five, and I began playing the violin at the age of nine. In addition, I love to sing! I'm a lifetime homeschooler, and I started attending classes here at Cornerstone in the third grade. Throughout high school, I have been actively involved in Cornerstone's music program - singing in the Chamber Choir, accompanying the Elementary and Intermediate choirs, and (most recently) teaching piano. Outside of Cornerstone, I have played in the Floyd County Youth Symphony Philharmonic Orchestra and sung in my church choir. Now, as a senior, I am excited to share my love of music with others!
I believe music has incredible qualities, and its harmony, texture, and rhythm have tangible, positive effects on the human body. After graduation, I hope to formerly harness music's therapeutic and healing properties through Music Therapy.
